Year 1, Spring entry no. 5

Having obtained the Appraiser reward (from completing The Curator aspiration), Addy decides to put it to the test. She has a duplicate fossil worth §70.

The Simsonian Museum buys it for §184. A profit of 114 Simoleons!

Addy finds two other duplicate fossils and sells them to the museum as well. A Prehistoric Rock worth §15 is bought for §201 and a Fossilized Egg worth §70 is bought for §237. Ka-ching!

She then takes yet another trip to Ciudad Enamorada in hopes of finding an Axolotl log which seems to be even more elusive than a Death Frog!! No log but she does find a monument. The birds flying in the background reminds Addy of a heart.

Viewing it reveals some interesting facts.

Love the look of it at night time.

While fishing, Addy hears crying behind her.

She turns and sees … a new blue bear! Junior Barker takes up the costume Sammy Garcia left behind.

Seeing him sad and crying breaks Addy’s heart. Junior looks like he needs a hug and she gives him one after he gives consent.

~*~ Another day ~*~

Addy might not have luck finding Axolotl logs but she continues to fish even on warm rainy days like this one. I know, it’s kind of hard to tell from the picture. Sorry.

Later that night, Addy sees something she has never seen before.

Greg howls and she runs away in fear. Nope! This is not a werewolf you want to mess with.

On Saturday, Addy celebrates a small holiday where the main (and only!) activity is hunting for eggs.

She successfully finds over half of the Decorative Eggs collection. Nice.

Some time ago, Addy met someone at the hotel in Cuidad Enamorada and was given a handful of gifts as a thank you. She received an Albino Axolotl and a Green Axolotl. By breeding them, she got eight other kinds. Then it was mix-and-match to get the rest. A smaller collection than frogs but it feels like it took a lot longer to breed them all.

The Green Chimera Axolotl was the last one needed to complete her collection. Yay!

I find it frustrating that Addy never stumbled across an Axolotl log. She visited both ponds and fished for hours, DAYS even, while I scoured around and around … never finding a single one. Would love to know what the spawn rate is on these things.

Addy often gets visitors dropping by. One time, several came and huddled on her porch. Maybe to avoid the rain or maybe because the conversation is always enjoyable.

These Sims visit often so I peeked at their Compatibility with Addy. Erick is Good, Goopy doesn’t have one and Umber, the most attractive of this crowd but also married, is Bad. Friends, sure. Nothing romantic though.

Not that it matters as her focus is on making a museum and she received the Romantically Reserved trait through a Personality Discovery which I thought was a sign. A sign to have this version of Addy be a single Sim.

And for those curious, these two are who the game decided has Amazing Compatibility with her. Guess it thinks she like guys who wear black fingernail polish. LOL

Both are younger than her and I just can’t picture her wanting to be with either of them or vice versa.

For a bit of variety, I have Addy head over to the Festival of Snow. As usual, I take too many screenshots but I think you’ll enjoy her mini adventure.

~*~ The next Saturday ~*~

Addy celebrates another small holiday for hunting eggs and finds her last one in this kitchen cabinet.

How fitting that the last one is the Freezer Bunny!

The rest of the day is spent at this quiet pond.

Addy maxes out her Fishing skill, completes the Angling Ace aspiration and …

I thought this was a one-time only opportunity but I guess I was wrong. Makes me wonder how many Ring Bears I can have Addy Sims help break free of the “cursed” COSTUME. No rush though. Many other things take priority.

Aspiration Tracker (completed TWO more aspirations!!)
NEW Career Tracker! (I decided to keep track of Addy's careers, UNI degrees & skills)

    1. Yes, indeed. Addy has been busy having fun while she (and I) explore the game in ways I haven’t done before and it’s still just the tip of the iceberg. As we all know, this game is massive and the possibilities are endless!

    1. He’s a sad Sim wearing a bear costume. Typically, kids have “phases” where they’ll wear bear costumes to signify different moods but this one is a quest chain in the game. Not a job per se. Plenty of neat details added when one takes their Sim off the household lot and out to explore … something I have always been bad about doing.
