New in Town: Day 2, part 3

The Spice Festival looks fun and festive!

More tasks were added to the Scenario:

  • Travel to Gym or Bar
  • Optional: Invite Someone to Travel (this was marked as done because she invited her landlord to the library)

Since this is a Spice Festival, home of the Spicy Curry Challenge, Farrah decides to start practicing before attempting the challenge itself. She handled Bhel Puri without any problems but both the Curry and Samosa were a bit too hot to handle.

Water, please!

Then she tries Vietnamese Pho. Whoa! Spicy!!

On the upside, Farrah learns how to make all four of these dishes.

She then attempts the Spicy Curry Challenge, hoping that it wouldn’t be an issue since she’s already sweating bullets and not sure if her taste buds are still intact, but fails miserably. She’s also miserable because her mouth is on fire.

Forget the water … is there anything at all to coat her tongue and soothe an upset tummy?

At least she isn’t the only one feeling the burn, ha ha

Farrah steps away from the food and starts meeting and mingling.

Clara Bjergsen is a Perfectionist (A/N: Just look at the way she did her blond hair in a French Roll hairstyle!) who works as a Caterer at Make a Dish. Farrah privately wonders if she gets along with her co-worker Mila Munch or if they’re business rivals, competing for the same promotions.

Lucia Markovic is Outgoing and works as a Professional Pianist at Limelight. She also seems to be rather proficient with the guitar.

Mateo Markovic is a bit of a Goofball and also works at Limelight as a Professional Pianist. Is this where he met Lucia? Was it love at first sight? (A/N: Lucia and Mateo are engaged so I find it interesting that they’re using the same last name from the get-go. It was also funny to see an option for Farrah to ask to be their Sim of Honor – a bit presumptuous to ask a Sim you just met to be a part of their wedding party, as far as I’m concerned.)

Lily Feng (in the beige dress) works as a CEO at Dewey, Cheatem & Howe Incorporated. Being a Genius gives her an advantage in this Business Career.

Mele Kahananui spent most of the festival cooking up a storm (ALL of those dishes on the table next to the grill were made by her!) which must be a habit since she’s a Line Cook at Make a Dish. She’s an Outgoing Sim but one wouldn’t be able to tell because she simply stood there while Lily directed the conversation … even to the point of scolding Mele. (A/N: Perhaps it was over the amount of food she made that interfered with the food stalls and Spicy Curry Challenge.)

Tetsu Maeda (bottom left image) is an Unemployed Music Lover. (A/N: Like Akira, he has Good Compatibility with Farrah. Akira has a job which is a plus in my books as far as potential partner goes!)

Isamu Yamada (the blond guy in the yellow festival t-shirt) is Unemployed but Neat. I guess this could mean he plans on being a house-husband, nothing wrong with that, but since he and Farrah don’t seem to rate on the Compatibility meter … he is not the Sim for her.

Keiko Sakamoto (the blond gal sitting next to Isamu) is also Unemployed and appears to be a bit Jealous. Jealous of those with jobs, perhaps. πŸ˜†

Kenji Ueda (sitting next to Farrah) is an Unemployed Genius. (A/N: What is it with so many unemployed Sims? Are they on the prowl for someone to pay their way? Not Farrah, that’s for sure!)

Janae Price (the one standing next to Farrah) is Self-Assured and a Regional Manager at Dewey, Cheatem & Howe Incorporated. WOW! This business must be flourishing with so many Sims having good positions.

By meeting & mingling as well as she has, Farrah completes the 1st tier of the Friend of the World aspiration and makes decent headway on the 2nd tier.

Since it’s getting late, she heads over to the booth to buy souvenirs before the festival ends.

Farrah buys a t-shirt, snow globe, bubbles and a few spices.

Here’s a few photos showing random moments of fun during the festival.

Farrah plans to eventually try all of the various flavors to see which she likes best. (A/N: This time I had her do the action “Sit and Try” to see what would happen.)

The bottom image on the left shows Lily scolding Mele.

Janae certainly knows how to rock a festival t-shirt! Her piercings are rather striking and has me wondering if they are part of her festival attire or if she’ll be wearing them with other outfits.

In the wee hours of the morning, Farrah crawls under her covers. What a fantastic day she had!

This is the end of Day 2
