Year 1, Spring entry no. 7

Addy receives a call early one morning. She’s notified that the vampire, Vladislaus Straud, has passed away. They barely know each other so Addy isn’t sure how she feels about it or what, if anything, she’s expected to do.

Later that day, she learns a buyer wishes to purchase the wooden knife block she made.

Materials cost §5 and listing item on Plopsy cost an additional §5. Because of it being Excellent Quality, its value is §48. She could have easily sold it for 48 Simoleons and been done but Addy is curious about whether it could sell for more. It did. Dog is willing to pay §127 for the sculpture. Wow!

She carefully packages the product and mails it.

The online feedback makes her laugh.

It’s mahogany. What did he think it would smell like?

~*~ The next day ~*~

Addy heads over to San Myshuno but finds she’s too early for the Flea Market so she decides to spend some time in Myshuno Meadows, a huge park.

She walks the paths seeking collectibles while admiring the scenery. Addy doesn’t find any city posters but there are several boxes o’ junk containing snow globes.

She also stumbles across a plaque discussing the Open Street Act and makes mention of ‘Festival City’. Is this San Myshuno?

Addy feels like her high school history class should have covered a topic such as this.

She looks at her watch and heads over to the Spice Market neighborhood. Whoa! There are a lot of Sims waiting for the Flea Market to open.

Addy makes two MySims Trophy trades, one lucrative … one not so much.

Trade #1: She offers Jenny (worth §50) and receives a Zombie Carl (worth §130) in return.

Trade #2: She offers another Jenny and receives a Jenny in return. Oh dear, this is beginning to seem similar to the Blue Axolotl trades from the past Flea Market event.

Fortunately, things take a turn for the better. Addy only needs two more items and then her collection will be complete. And … she spies them on a nearby table. Wahooey!

Before leaving the Flea Market, Addy receives notification that a buyer wishes to purchase the wooden horse sculpture she made.

Materials cost §10 and listing item on Plopsy cost an additional §5. It is Excellent Quality so its value is §94. THE_WELCOME_WAGON is willing to pay §345 for the sculpture. Wowee!

Another unusual feedback left online. Sims are so weird.

After many nights (and I do mean many!) of exploring the night skies, Addy manages to complete another collection. Yay!

~*~ Another day ~*~

On Rebate Day, Addy purchases a microscope and gets to work.

She takes samples from every plant in her garden as well as from the crystals and fossils Addy collected which are now safely stored away in household inventory.

Time for a break from staring through a glass lens. Addy hops in her rocket ship and blasts off into space once again.

She participates in a Space Race! (note: this contains spoilers)

~*~ A different day ~*~

Today is The Lottery! Addy buys a ticket for §100 and hopes it’s the winning one.

She paints her first masterpiece and decides to list it on Plopsy.

Since obtaining the Appraiser reward, selling duplicate fossils to the Simsonian Museum is quite profitable.

That evening, she tutors the vampire, Caleb Vatore, in Logic.

Why is he wearing a bag? Because the Neighborhood Action Plan (N.A.P.) “We Wear Bags” won.

Addy didn’t vote nor will she wear a bag. Sims are so silly.

Another vampire, Advik Mahajan, drops by and she offers to tutor him as well. He accepts.

Ka-ching! Addy completes the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration and will now accrue interest on a weekly basis. Yay!

This is a good place to stop.

Aspiration Tracker (completed one aspiration!)
Career Tracker (nothing new here)
Collection Tracker (completed two collections!)
