With the Festival of Light happening, Addy decides to work on the 1st tier of the Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration.
The tasks are:
* Eat food at the Festival of Snow, Light or Youth
* Take a Selfie with the Mt. Komorebi Mascot
* Collect a Simmi by popping open a Simmi Capsule
*Swim for 1 hour in Wakaba’s River
Brrr… swimming on a COLD day isn’t one of her better ideas.
She swims then quickly changes into warmer attire.
The vending machine sells sunshine yellow and cloud blue kimonos with a red sash. Somebody chose not to blend in but then again neither does her fiance (shown dancing in the background)
Addy writes down her wish and hangs it with the others and also honors the dead by giving flowers.
Such a beautiful sight!
Time to start collecting those cute Simmi figurines…
It doesn’t go well.
Addy gives the machine a shake in the hopes that the stuck capsule will be released.
Denied.
Addy tries giving the machine another “shake-down” and climbs it like a monkey… this isn’t going to go well… the machine is rocking back and forth, tilting too (kind of like when some kids lean back in their chairs so it’s only on two legs).
To nobody’s surprise…
And of course, the item is still stuck.
Addy perseveres and manages to grab the capsule!
Did the machine squash Addy a second time before deciding to let her have said item? Shh! She’s the only one there and doesn’t plan on telling anyone. Ever.
Several locals chat with Addy clearly not realizing the danger they might be in by preventing her from purchasing a snack. Shopping via vending machine is hard work, after all.
She collects a few Simmi figurines and completed the 1st tier of that aspiration. Yay!
~*~ The next day ~*~
Addy gets promoted at work and is now Teacher Addy! (Gave her a quick outfit change as the default one is a black blouse and black skirt with black heels. Not exactly inspiring or welcoming to younger minds!)
Over the weekend, Addy tries her luck at the Flea Market.
She learns she can’t trade duplicate Simmi figurines but can trade Axolotl, Crystal, Fossil, Frogs, Metal, My Sim Trophies, Posters, and Snow Globes.
Tried her luck at trading an Axolotl and after doing this with three different Sims… kept getting the SAME kind of Axolotl as the one she tried to trade. I guess there’s an abundance of blue ones right now.
She heads back to Mt. Komorebi in order to get more Simmi capsules and it goes about as well as her previous trip.
Poor Addy! Going to take a break from this before she really hurts herself!

How funny! Sunshine in a can, perhaps? I remember seeing those at tourist traps when young and going on family vacations.
Agreed, the vending machine is fun to watch. The first time. When it happens more often than one thinks it should, not so much. Each time I send Addy off to purchase Simmi capsules, I have her try 4x. Every time she does this, Addy gets squashed. Something tells me the odds for this are set higher by the Sims team.

Silly me wants to get the whole set (including the Golden versions) so I imagine there will be many vending wrestling matches where Addy loses and just lays there as if dazed.

You know me, I love keeping track of Sim stuff. My behind-the-scenes spreadsheets grew because of Addy’s Adventures which means that I’m still learning stuff about this game. Yay!
