Nova has good dreams while she sleeps.

Too bad her reality is more like a nightmare.

EVERYTHING is broken! 😱

Nova decides to take a vacation day in order to handle the emergency.

The room might be filthy but she’s in a happy mood because fixing stuff is right up her alley.

(A/N: I totally forgot the Sims team gave her “likes handiness” and wondered why her overall mood was happy/green instead of uncomfortable/orange when most people, Sims too, wouldn’t be happy that things are broken and needing to be repaired.)

Once the bathroom is in working order again, Nova moves on to the kitchen.

Of course this is when her neighbors opt to welcome her to the neighborhood. 😅

Good timing because the fridge just zapped her.

(A/N: Maybe it has something to do with her using a screwdriver and poking it here & there. Sims are a silly bunch. 😆)

Nova greets her neighbors and silently wishes they would stay in the hallway since her apartment is such a mess at the moment.

No such luck. They enter and all three gesture at the puddles and pile of scraps.

Arun brings fruitcake and she learns that she really likes it. Greeta and her son, Raj, ignore the plate on the table and grab milk bread from Nova’s fridge. Rude, much?!

Lavinia, do I look like the neighborhood advice columnist? We met briefly at GeekCon and you want me to tell you what you should do regarding romance? I don’t even have a partner so how in the world am I supposed to advise you? I have zero experience. Zero.

Nice of Greeta to take out the trash.

(A/N: I play with walls down so I can’t help but see Greeta and Raj making frequent trips to the trash chute. How much garbage do these two generate?)

Nova spends a little time making polite conversation but soon runs out of things to say. She lets them mingle and starts working on her stove.

The Welcome Wagon event ends and the three of them leave, saying they had a good time. Um, okay? You eat my food and spend more time chatting with each other than me … I guess I should be happy y’all didn’t break anything while welcoming me to the area.

Nova then finishes up with the rest of the repairs.

This is a good spot for stopping this portion.
