Stuck in Their Shadow: Day 2

Nova begins her day with the following required task:

Get Promoted to Project Manager

Time to head off to work. Nice outfit, Nova!

Her phone rings while she’s at work.

(A/N: I find it interesting that game mechanics have calls pop up when our Sim is at work since we can’t direct our Sim to use their phone during this time. It’s also interesting that Anas is still wearing his GeekCon cosplay outfit!)

Nova encourages him to go for it.

Hours later …

She earns her first promotion. Congratulations!

(A/N: Nova didn’t finish the Daily Task and her Performance meter bar was green, not dark green with the check mark grayed out so I wasn’t expecting this promotion to happen. I’m sure the Entrepreneurial Trait bought from the Reward Store came into play here.)

Nova’s feeling quite happy because of it and looks forward to celebrating on her next day off.

For now, she plans to mod the game called Sims Forever because she’s heard it needs all the help it can get.

How rude! Moe Sakai (someone Nova has never met before) walks in without knocking and starts talking to Nova.

(A/N: As soon as I realized she was letting herself into the apartment, I locked Nova’s bedroom door but the game didn’t acknowledge it although … I had to unlock it so Moe could leave. Go figure. 🙄)

(A/N: I “encouraged” Nova to do a rude introduction and then ignore Moe since there was no action asking her to leave. Otherwise, I’m pretty sure the game would have had the two of them chat while Nova’s busy at the computer and getting more tired by the minute.)

While dealing with Moe, Sergio calls and compliments Nova on her work ethic. Nice!

And if that wasn’t enough, the game also decides to have Lewis call at this time.

He hangs up before she gets a chance to answer.

(A/N: Not only does she miss whatever taunt Lewis slings her way, she’s given additional tasks that I know are tied to that call without knowing the reason why. It’s a bit disappointing that the game didn’t have him call again. Fortunately, I have a friend in our Community named illusie who gave me permission to use her image so we get the full picture!)
