Since Farrah won’t meet anybody by staying in her apartment (NO Welcome Wagon yet), she heads over to the library to learn a skill or two while hopefully meeting other Sims.
She invites her landlord along so they can get to know one another better.

Farrah learns that her landlord works for the San Myshuno Rent Co. and is a bit Lazy. Hopefully this means she’ll be a bit more relaxed when it comes time for the rent to be paid/collected.
Her landlord takes a call and starts walking away mid-conversation so Farrah takes it as a sign that their visit is over. She sees a Sim with an interesting hat so decides to use the compliment, “Nice hat!”, as a way to meet her.

What is it about this park that has everybody raving?

Bernice Robles is a Cheerful Sim who works as a Corporate Raider at Dewey, Cheatem & Howe Incorporated and is married to Ian.
(A/N: I found that the Social Bunny app is the quickest way to turn an Acquaintance into a Friend! Spamming “Post Message” using Friendly and Funny plus Flirty if you want them to grow close in that regard plus doing the same with “Tag Sim” easily ups the relationship meter.)

Heading inside, Farrah hears an evil laugh and discovers that it’s her landlord at one of the computers. Is she trolling some poor Sim on the forums?

She introduces herself to Bernice’s husband, Ian.

At least he said more than go check out the local park.

Ian Robles is a Bestselling Author at Walrus Books and considers himself to be a bit of a Bookworm.
He appears to be angry so Farrah attempts to calm him down.

Her Martian joke fails to amuse him but nearby Sims start chuckling over it.

Ian doesn’t like the joke so retaliates by insulting her choice of footwear. Farrah is rather hurt by his behavior.

She excuses herself to greet Mortimer Goth. Hope this one goes better.

Mortimer is Creative and like Ian, works at Walrus Books. He’s a Freelance Article Writer. (A/N: Dang. Ian is quite high in the profession. Mortimer is L3 while Ian is L9 in the Author branch of the Writer Career.)
*ring* *ring*
Akira calls to ask Farrah’s advice on whether he should spend time with Venessa Jeong or not. She encourages him to build friendships.

This game is something else! Farrah introduces herself to Mila Munch by sitting on the other side of Ian and Mortimer. Nothing like a loud voice between other Sims to leave an impression. š

Mila Munch is a Foodie who works as a Caterer at Make a Dish.
(A/N: I’m not sure why but the Discovery Quest: Skillful Sims “completed” and left my screen without giving any sort of completion notice or reward. Bummer.)
Farrah manages to snag an autograph from Brytani Cho.

She also gets a selfie and then takes a picture of Miss Cho.

(A/N: Farrah tries asking for a hug but the game keeps removing that action from her queue. Three times, in fact. No hug for you!)
This is a good spot to end this portion.
Day 2, part 1 <= New in Town => Day 2, part 3

Sounds like Farrah is having a hard time making friends. Hope that doesn’t last.

It won’t. The Social Bunny app makes it fairly easy to make friends and then you can invite those Sims over to further the friendship.
